Edinburgh, Crieff and Pitlochtry are less than an hour away by car, Perth, Dundee and St Andrews about half an hour, and Glasgow and Inverness, 2 hours.  There is a regular bus service through Auchtermuchty connecting Kirkcaldy with Perth and St Andrews with Stirling. Train stations at Ladybank, Kirkcaldy and Perth connect with  major British Cities, while  there are airports at Edinburgh, Glasgow and Dundee.

We have a lot to see and do here, starting with Golf, with St Andrews having the major centre with five and a half courses and driving range, but there are another 100 courses within an hour's drive of Auchtermuchty.

As well as Golf, you can walk, bike, cycle the Fife cycle route and explore the many historic towns and villages in this area.  The National Trust for Scotland administers Falkland Palace, three miles to the south, Hill of Tarvit, to the east and Kellie Cast on the south coast.  Edinburgh and Stirling Castles are magnificent, and Blair and Glamis Castles are delightful.  There is Holyrood Palace, Dynamic Earth and The National Museum in Edinburgh. There is also Scotland's Secret Bunker near St Andrews, Deep Sea World at North Queensferry, The Scottish Deer Centre, near Cupar,  RDS  Discovery and Verdant Works in Dundee, and Museums and Art Galleries in most towns and cities. We have speciality Craft Shops, and a host of superb Restaurants and Theatres.  The Isle of May off Anstruther,  Culross and Dunfermline are probably underappreciated, while Glenturret Distillery near Crieff  probably is not!  There are swimming pools and beaches, coastal walks and woodland strolls.
